News and Updates

  August 2008

We had an excellent crowd at our Winter Party on the 27th of July. The photo above was taken by Ben Goh (whistle).   The music sounded great and many people enjoyed staying on for the Sunday $10 steak meal.  It was a cold damp winter day outside, but it was  really nice to spend the afternoon playing music with friends  in a warm pub.

There is not a lot going on in terms of festivals or music events in August.  Below I have included information about the Fancy Yourself Fiddling Winter Concert on Saturday 16 August.   I also received an email from Don King (accordion player) that his    Colectables and music shop located in Kilarney, Victoria is now on line.   I have shared this information with  you.

Sou'west Collectables and Music started by Don and

Jean King in 2003. They sell a wide range of collectables and musical instruments (both new and used) as well as accessories. Don is a well known accordion player.   They also offer a search service if you are looking for a particular instrument or item.  Their shop is located on 1164 Princes Hwy, Killarney, Victoria, Australia 3283 which is very close to Koroit, the home of the Lake School.  To contact them phone/fax +61 3 5568 7404 or check out their website: http://www.souwestcollectablesandmusic.com.au/
